My first 'real' camera was an Olympus Trip 35. It was an great camera, reliable, tough, enough dials and controls but not too many. I still have the camera and the prints of places and friends in photo albums tucked away. Those photos evoke great memories and there is a story behind them all.
Photography technology has greatly improved and is far more accessible and affordable but what makes a great photo is still the same. Its the 'story'. The 'story' could be real or imagined . It could be the story of the photographers experiences or the viewers. These are the photos I like to take, ones that make the viewer recall or imagine a 'story'. That why I don't have a preferred "genre" or style. I now shoot with a Canon 5DIII and have dabbled with the X series Fuji's. I like print my own photo's as a printed photo is far greater medium for telling the story. In recent times I have ventured into the Photography Tour business. Organizing and conducting tours throughout Australia and across the world. Please feel free to contact me for your photography needs or if your would like to join me on a photography tour.
